Wei Gu
Wei Gu, MD, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in Pathology at Stanford University. Dr. Gu completed his MD and PhD in Bioengineering at Stanford University. He did his residency in Laboratory Medicine and fellowship in Molecular Genetic Pathology at University of California San Francisco. He received a Burroughs Wellcome Career Award and a NIH NCI K08 Award. Dr. Gu's research focuses on minimally invasive genetic and epigenetic diagnostics, a burgeoning field that has already helped million of pregnant woman through non-invasive prenatal testing. His work in the past decade has spanned prenatal, cancer, and infectious disease testing and uses cell-free DNA.
